Fingar Gulbrandson

Fingar Gulbrandson originally hails from a prosperous fishing and trading village on the coast of what is now Norway. While his parents and siblings were perfectly content with their humble ways, Fingar was more ambitious and craved more from life. And so, he volunteered on as many voyages as possible, quickly earning a name for himself with his Jarl as he demanded a strong presence on the battlefield as well as proved to be an expert navigator on the seas. This status and comfort did not last long, however, for his entire village and homestead was raided and razed to the ground by a neighboring Jarl with only few survivors escaping – perhaps if you ask nicely, he will tell you the story of that fateful night…

Since, he’s been in search of another place to prove his worth; the mercenary life become tiresome. On his travels, the name of “Jarl Aesa” piqued his interest – it was not strange that there would be a woman Jarl, just uncommon – and so he traveled to find her camp in England. It was here he came to learn that the tales rang true of this Jarl! This was someone who deserved respect and could lead him to what he had long been searching for: a place he can make a home for himself.
