Canute Harallson is a rare creature – a mid-aged Viking warrior that is still a strong fighter, but, as he will admit, is getting past his prime and mainly contributing to the village through farming and craftsmanship as a carpenter and armorer.
In the village he is looking to acquire more lands for farming and to find a wife. Because of his past, he is able to help contribute to the stability of the Viking Encampment as a base of operations for opportunity, allowing the Jarl the resources for exploration and expansion of her influence. His skills in construction, wood working, smithing, sailing and navigation, fishing, farming and animal husbandry, and, of course, combat allow Canute to strengthen the encampment, making it safe for us and our allies. He has no family within the camp and before he joined, he worked as a farmer and part-time warrior. The backbone of the Viking culture was as much our adaptive nature in harsh living environments, as well fierce warriors and explorers. Once the exploring and conquering was done, someone needed to build new villages to grow the Jarl’s power base. |
